Normal weight
BMI is a general WHO indicator that does not account for muscle mass, age or body type. Consult a healthcare professional for a personalised assessment.
Body Mass Index (BMI) is the WHO reference indicator for adult body composition, computed from weight and height.
How to compute your BMI?
Enter your weight
In kilograms, ideally in the morning.
Enter your height
In centimeters, without shoes.
Read your position
Your BMI appears with its WHO category and healthy weight range.
The BMI formula
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height² (m). Example: 70 kg and 1.75 m give 22.9 — normal range. The formula is identical for men and women aged 18-65.
BMI limitations
BMI does not distinguish muscle from fat: a muscular athlete can read as “overweight” with very low body fat. It is a screening tool, not a diagnosis.
